Wanchen Cao is a Chinese poet, writer and visual artist, and the author of Seven O’Clock (Anhui Literature and Art Publishing House, 2018). She has published more than a hundred Chinese poems, with work in Jiangnan, Poetry Monthly and other journals. Her English poems have appeared in The Galway Review, Culture Matters, The Wise Owl and Synchronized Chaos, with further work accepted by APOFENIE and e·ratio.
She holds an MA in Creative Writing from the University of Southampton and is pursuing a poetry PhD at the University of Dundee. In 2026, she received £2,100 from Dundee’s General Affinity Fund for literary work. Her writing explores dreams, memory and embodied experience.
